BLOGGER. MUSIC ENTHUSIAST.
Our very own QT Nicole is larger than life! Her deep insight to life, quick witted remarks, and her love for various underground Indie music makes her the kind of girl you want to be around. She is the kind of person to go to when you're in the mood for some interesting and enlightening "coffee-house" conversations! Nicole was one of the first girls on board with this Q blog because she embodies exactly what the head of Q had in mind when creating a blogging team. Not to mention, her style is just absolutely FABULOUS. By keeping up with our blog and especially keeping up with Nicole's posts, you'll see what we mean!
Nicole is a fourth year college student at a well-known public university in Southern California. She is majoring in Psychology in hopes to pursue her passion in Child-Development Studies. With plans of continuing her education and attaining her Masters in Psychology, she also has hopes of achieving a certificate in Fashion Design, her other lifelong passion!
Upon first glance at her closet, one may get mixed impressions. Feminine, masculine, trendy and classic- there’s a bit of everything. A bit of everything perhaps reflects her overall perspective on the ideal balanced lifestyle. A girly dress paired with a cropped moto jacket or a patterned carefree skirt with a “put-together” feel on accessories, the yin and yang of an outfit is an essential component to this blogger. When she's not running to and from classes or whipping up a new dessert recipe, you can find her treasure hunting at the flea market or at the local music venue enjoying tunes from her favorite bands.
Below is a personal statement from Nicole.
"I first became interested in fashion in middle school when I started watching Project Runway. The challenges that made the contestants make clothing out of unconventional materials such as plastic, coffee filters, candy, etc. really pushed me to think “outside of the box”. Being short on cash as a student, I found that you didn't need to spend a fortune to put together a cute outfit. I found my individuality through finding pieces I really fell in love with at flea markets and thrift stores that my dad introduced me to. My favorite pieces in my wardrobe are those that have a lot of character. e.g.) DIY jewelry such as a pearl peter pan collar or a turquoise pendant turned necklace."
